Apple today released macOS Big Sur 11.1, the first major update to the initial ‌macOS Big Sur‌ 11.0.1 operating system version that was released on November 12. ‌macOS Big Sur‌ 11.1 was released following four rounds of beta testing. The new ‌‌macOS Big Sur‌ 11.1‌ update can be downloaded for free on all eligible Macs using the Software Update section of System Preferences. There were no major new features discovered in the update during the beta testing period, but according to Apple's release notes, the new software adds support for AirPods Max, introduces a new Apple TV+ tab, ‌macOS Big Sur‌ 11.1 introduces support for ‌AirPods Max‌, TV app enhancements, Apple News widgets, and privacy information on the App Store.
