I revisited another product that I think could free us from image management and enable us to use whatever PC we want, at work or home, safely, with most of the benefits of virtualization and almost none of the penalties.

I predicted this in January, but I feel certain now: The next iPod will include a healthy dose of the iPhone's visual DNA. If you're thinking of buying a new iPod this summer, show some patience. Before the holidays, we'll see an iPod with a much bigger screen that uses touch controls. Apple is overdue for a new top-of-the-line iPod.

Shares of cell phone makers rose Thursday, with Apple's shares increasing to a new all-time high as an analyst said he believes the company has an iPhone revenue-sharing agreement with exclusive service provider AT&T. Apple shares traded as high as $140.81 during the session. During the past year, it has traded between $72.58 and $139.98, rising sharply in recent months.
