I didn't get to review an iPhone, but I have something that trumps the iPhone, at least in one tiny way: I can listen to my iPod on Bluetooth stereo headsets. No wires, baby! Even better, I can make and answer my Bluetooth-capable cell phone through my Bluetooth headsets. When a call comes in, the music fades and I hear a pleasant tone alerting me to the call.

Apple Chief Executive Steve Jobs this week exercised some long-held options worth at least $14.5 million. On Monday, the iconic leader exercised 120,000 that were set to expire this week. Apple gave Jobs the options, which carried a strike price of $5.75 a share, in August 1997 when he rejoined the company's board as part of his official return the company.

Mac Rumors reports that Apple has released another beta version of Mac OS X 10.4.11 to developers

Apple has seeded another version of Mac OS X 10.4.11 (8S2144) to developers yesterday. The next update to Apple's Mac OS X Tiger operating system lists only one known issue which involves the system occasionally hanging during shutdown.

When Dateline NBC wanted to do a hidden-camera report to catch iPod thieves in the act, the network turned to a Boise, Idaho, technology company for help. According to a statement from NBC, the iPod's iconic status has also made it an easy target for thieves. Dateline wanted to confront the people who steal the portable music player, and find out if Apple can track the stolen devices on its own.

John Lennon's solo catalog is now available for download from Apple's iTunes Store, a sign -- to some hopeful Fab Four fans -- that Apple is slowly fixing a hole: The fact that Beatles music is still unavailable. The inclusion of Lennon's non-Beatles music on iTunes, something Apple CEO Steve Jobs said he is thrilled about, comes on the heels of the May inclusion of Paul McCartney's post-Beatles Wings albums.
