WMA vs MP3

Atreyu
I decided one night to make a. wma file to see what Microsoft was boasting about. The file size was super small, WAY smaller than your average MP3 and sounded just as good. I'm considering converting my MP3 collection to.

DivX on DVD Players...IT'S HERE!

Palos
If this happens, it will be the bomb. For those of you who know german, check here: You can use Babblefish or something to translate the page in English if you want. Basically they say they have the technology, and they already gave it away to 2 manufacturers.

Good luck in your future endeavors and I'll be sure to send those pics. I strolled around there a couple times and it does look like a solid forum. You may see some posts from me around there. .

wma support for new dvd players, what about DivX?

oldspice
I don't know a lot about encoding but if the new APEX dvd players will have wma support this year, what will happen to DivX. Will they be out of luck or will people be able to convert DivX to WMA or what? Just curious if there are some experts out there who can comment on this.

Hi Does anybody know if its possible to set the level of Digital Vibrance on a per application basis ? E. g I like DVC off when using my regular desktop but I'd like it to come on automatically when I play Quake3, Unreal Tornament etc.

Toby
I just reinstalled my workstation at home. Back to Win2k from XP and the only thing I can think of is why did'nt I do this earlier. I't feels so much more speedy and snappier and this is on a PIII 1Ghz with 512MB.

Man, O man, I just had the freakiest BIOS flashing I've ever seen. In preparation for an Athlon XP, I had to flash to the latest BIOS. The flash went fine until I rebooted. Got strange beeps, so I turned off the power (yes, the bios flash was complete and said to do so when I rebooted).

Anyone read this article?

I thought this was a joke. The 845D as product of the year. Anyways I let him know about it. With products like the Geforce 3 and even the ATI Radeon 8500, a mediocre chipset like the 845D, that was long coming shouldn't even be in the top 5 IMO.

Well my big bash was today, the 24th. Some of my fav gifts were a Palm Pilot VIIx and an APC 350Backups. I got some CD's: Toxicity by System of a Down and Golden State by Bush. I got some clothing and quite a bit of food.

I got Tweak Town thinking I'm a girl

Brian Frank
LOL! I'm gonna have a hard time keepin people from thinking I have boobies. I just hope other guys don't hit on me. Why did I register with a girls name? I have no clue, other than I felt like it. But, hey, TT is a very cool site, IMO.

Just got back from Lord of the Rings

Brian Frank
Without giving it away, I will say that the ring wraiths and the balrog are freaky enough to nearly wet your pants. Very good adaption of the book, and the stuff that they ditched was stuff that I didn't miss anyway.
