Windows 2000 access from a LAN..

Can anyone help a relatively inexperienced Win2000 user with a problem? Here's my setup. Windows 2000 on one PC Windoes 98SE on second PC Both connected by LAN. . LAN connected to cable modem. Now I can access all available resoucrs on the Win98 machine from the Win2k machine, but I can access none ofthe W2K resouc ...

Access to NT share from DOS

Can anyone help me with this? I have a computer with a 3Com 3c905tx NIC and I need to boot from a floppy and connect to an NT4 server. I have used the network client administrator, (and i have the right NIC drivers from a floppy i made from Ghost 6.

Hi! I've got a P166-mmx, 4. 3Gb HDD and 64MB or RAM, and I'm currently running NT4. 0 which is wonderful, it's a little slow starting up, but it's much better than Win 9x, and I don't get crashes Now.

LX/BX Question

I’m looking to extend they life of my dual-PII 333MHz (IntelliStation M Pro, LX chipset) until the end of this year (when I’m due for a new one). I’m not interested in overclocking. Also, I wish to keep the machine fully intact instead of migrating some components to a new machine.

Almost all us us have been using W2k for quite a while now. And the big day is not very far away. Soon W2k final will be in every store. What du you think about? I think it`s the best OS on the market (ok, soon on the market) right now.

Somehow, I've lost my boot. ini file, and during startup win2k says it will use some default one instead. How can I fix this? Where does the boot. ini file usually reside?.

Those changing banner adds are driving me crazy

Yes, banner adds are needed to pay for this forum and the great side. But can you please get a different one ? It changes the banner every 45 secs. When it changes the banner it removes my cursor from the message field and might put it into the subject line or somewhere else.
