G'day all I just have to say this after reading all the flame wars on this board. I have tried XP 2428 and yes I do like it. I agree with jdulmage that XP has a lot of nice improvements over 2K. It is in my experience faster than 2K in most areas.

Am I an idiot? Apparently JJ32, a new member seems to think so. I know Im not an IT level person, I still have enough knowledge to not be an idiot. While I do have my opinions and am not right on every issue, I dont see why this newcomer seems to think I am a complete moron.

Problems with this site?

bottleneck

Pages don't load completely,the spell checker does not work from time to time etc. Is anyone else experiencing this or is it just me? BTW its only happening with this site. .

I remember a looooonnngg time ago seeing a download section that had Voodoo 2 drivers for NT5 and the DX4NT5 hack. So where did it go? Or am I just blind? I've been meaning to ask for awhile but I uhh didn't.

Does anyone know if Quake3 can run SMP in windows 98? I have tried to run it in w98, but i have a Voodoo3 and q3 doesn´t support the voodoo3 with smp. .

get the ie6setup. exe file downloaded and make a batch file with this in it ie6setup /c:ie6wzd. exe /d /s:#E then save the bat file in the dir where ie6setup. exe is and run the bat file this will allow you to download the the ie6 setup files for 9x or win2k or nt 4 to disk without having to install it right away.

I am going to order DSL service to my apartment and I am gonna share it with 4 other computers. I know that I can share a single DSL connection to 4 computers by buying Broadband Router like D-Link DI-704 but I don't like its built-in Firewall protection.

Everyone with the alternative OS heres a post for Linux. Ive heard a few speak up about it, but there has to be more than a handful. Steve Ballmer declared Linux threat numero uno, so anyone in doubt dont pass off Linux like its nothing.

Is this good now for my duron 800mhz and case temps?

my case temp or system temp is now only peaks at 95 F and cpu temp peaks at 109 F which is mainly in gaming. normal use its around 89 to 91 F case temp and cpu temp around 90 to 95 F. is this bad temps? should i have more cooling to lower them more? like maybe a new heatsink/fan for processor or add a System Exhaus ...
