Zevrix Solutions has announced a new version of Graphic Inspector 2.3.1, a quality control solution for images and vector files

The new version add the ability to show previews of Adobe InDesign files, which functionality isn't available through the Mac operating system. Now users can quickly identify InDesign documents by their contents directly from Graphic Inspector without the need to open the files manually. In fact, users don't even need to have InDesign installed on their system. All versions from InDesign CS5 and later are supported.

"I'm surprised no one else thought of it before: to display every bit of useful information about vector or raster graphic files and flag the ones that match rules you define," writes Jay Nelson in Layers magazine. "With its combination of price, utility, and thoughtful design, Graphic Inspector is a rare gem."

Graphic Inspector is designed to help users of any trade, whether it's print, prepress, web design, or digital photography. For example, users can flag files whose color mode is RGB, format - JPEG, resolution is below 300 dpi, ICC profile isn't "US Web Coated" and so on. The software offers the following key features:

* Check multiple images and vector files
* Check files for spot colors, fonts, image compression and more
* Search by resolution, color mode, ICC profile and bit depth
* Complete EXIF, IPTC and GPS metadata

Pricing and Availability:
Graphic Inspector can be purchased from the Zevrix web site for $19.95 (USD), as well as from authorized resellers. Graphic Inspector is free with purchase of PDF Checkpoint or InPreflight Pro for Adobe InDesign. Trial is also available for download. The update is free for users of version 2.x and $10 for earlier versions. Graphic Inspector requires macOS 10.5-10.12 (some features require OS X 10.7 or later).
