Smile is a data visualization and automation software from Satimage-software. In Smile 3.2, users can extract data from files, generate data, program computations, visualize your data and change display settings, all in the same user-friendly interface. Once saved on disk, you can reopen the plot and easily adapt it to some other set of data. Moreover, Smile full scriptability offers customization and automation facilities that will allow you to fit Smile usability close to your personal needs.

In Smile you can:
- extract data from files (default data formats supported: text, binary, FITS, XNF, ...),
- perform data processing using commands provided with Smile or controlling external code,
- visualize your data in the most usual forms (curves, scatter plots, bar graphs, contour lines, color maps and vector fields in 2D, and 3D surfaces),
- customize the interaction of the user with the plots (handling mouse clicks, contextual menus, keyboard events...) and create custom interfaces,
- export your plot as a PDF file, as a bitmap picture (PNG, JPEG, TIFF, BMP, PSD) or as a QuickTime movie.

Smile's plot interface helps you to plot data by importing files, specifying intermediary computations and access display settings.
You can also work by writing scripts which perform the data processing tasks and which make the data visualization graphs, and which can be integrated to a custom interface or to an automatized workflow.

Using Smile's data visualization features requires the SmileLab license. Otherwise, the software runs in demo mode where saving and printing data visualization graphs are disabled. We also provide time-limited free trial license, valid 2 months, on a one per e-mail address basis.

What's new:
Smile's plot interface was completely revamped - you can now extract data from files, generate data, program computations, visualize your data and change display settings, all in the same user-friendly interface. Once saved on disk, you can reopen the plot and easily adapt it to some other set of data. A video showing the main features is available.

Smile 3.2 introduces XNF version 2.0. XNF is a file format for storing binary 1D, 2D, and 3D arrays which uses an XML tree as its table of contents.

50+ other improvements - please check the release notes.

Pricing:
449 USD for a one-user SmileLab licence, 299 USD for a one-user SmileLab academic license. All licenses purchased before, for Smile 3 (for instance, Smile 3.0.6 or Smile 3.1.9), remain valid.
