Banana Bee is delighted to announce Denoise 1.0, their easy-to-use, noise and grain suppression utility for Mac OS X. Designed from the ground up for OS X, Denoise removes noise and grain from photographs. It improves photos taken under low light conditions, mobile phone cameras, as well as scanned images. Munich, Germany - Banana Bee is delighted to announce Denoise 1.0, their easy-to-use, noise and grain suppression utility for Mac OS X. Designed from the ground up for OS X, Denoise removes noise and grain from photographs. Simply drag an image from the Finder or iPhoto and Denoise will dutifully do its magic, and save the result.

Image noise is a random fluctuation of pixel values in an image. Image noise can originate in film grain, or in electronic noise in the scanner or digital camera sensor and circuitry. In low light, or at high ISO speed settings, digital cameras tend to produce images with more apparent image noise. Noise cannot be removed without the loss of some image detail. Nevertheless, noise-reduction algorithms have been developed that can distinguish between the image detail and unwanted noise, and alter an image in noisy areas. Denoise is based on one such algorithm.

Denoise improves photos taken under low light conditions, mobile phone cameras, as well as scanned images. It uses a sophisticated algorithm to suppress image noise by carefully smoothing flat areas while preserving image details.

Version 1.0 is Banana Bee's first release, with a focus on ease of use.

Minimum Requirements:
* Mac OS X Version 10.5 Leopard
* Universal Binary for PowerPC and Intel
* 2 MB Hard Drive space

Pricing and Availability:
Denoise 1.0 is available as a single-user license for only 20.00 Euro ($31.00 USD), and available as a full-featured demo. There is also a Family license available.
