Prevent iTunes from updating jailbroken devices
This is a simple bash script I made that will prevent iTunes from updating any device. To update after you use this script you just manually download the firmware and do option restore. I made it because I was hearing about a lot of people who 'accidentally' upgraded to a non-jailbreakable firmware.

This is something that always annoyed me. You have Finder open and you are seeing a long list of files. Among these files, perhaps down in those beginning with an R, you see some files you want to rename.

Set the language of apps in a jailbroken iOS device
This hint works for apps that have different languages available and choose one depending on the OS's default language settings. For example you want to have iOS localized to German but have Plants vs. Zombies in English.

I fondly recall the days of classic Mac OS application development using Apple's programming environment called Macintosh Programmer's Workshop (MPW). It had an unusual design in that the command shell and the text editor were built into the same Worksheet window.

While the iTunes Remote for iPhone app from Apple is very cool many of us are still waiting for a script editor to make it's appearance on iOS. This AppleScript will allow you to run specific pre-written scripts on your Mac from your iPhone, using iTunes as an intermediary.

ClickToFlash may break Google Street View in Safari
Google Street View had stopped working for me in Safari. It turned out ClickToFlash was the culprit. The ClickToFlash web plugin stops Flash objects on webpages from loading. Unless you add the pages/domains to its whitelist or temporarily allow them.
